I receive a newsletter from the Child Guidance Services a division of the Oklahoma City-County Health Department that is called the “Parent Express”.  It is very informative, offers workshops, classes, screenings, and more.  Please look through the attached pages, you might just find some activities at the Village Library that you and your child would enjoy.  To receive your own newsletter, call 425-4412 and just ask them to add you to their mailing list.

The last 2 weeks we will be doing the following:

Our Take-Home Backpacks are missing a few pieces.  Please look around your house, ask your daycare, etc. about the following items:  Counting Carnival Game Board, Kite with #10 on it and the Velcro tail with the 10 bows on it, green foam pegboard with the #9 on it with 9 peg holes, and 1 peg.  If you run across these items please send them to school.  Ms. Melissa will make sure they get put back in the right place.

Text Box: In your childs’ folder you will find a 2 page hand-out on learning activities and ideas for the summer.  Keep this handy.  All of the items on the list are what I work on in the classroom throughout the year.  I would love to see your child come back with lots of new skills!

       We're Building S Better World-
One Student At a Time!

The regular pre-k/kindergarten classes and my class will have an Awards Assembly on Tuesday, May 20th at 9:30 for the a.m. class and 1:30 for the p.m. class.  We will be in the cafeteria for the awards.  The students will come in and sit on the floor in their regular line.  When I go up, I will lead my class up to the front and I am asking that one parent come to the front at that time to stand behind their son/daughter.  When all students and parents are up in the front of the other classes I will read off the awards that all the students are getting and then I will read each child’s’ name and their individual awards.
