| Here's an idea: Count cars as you drive down the road...how many are red, yellow, white or blue? How many are trucks, slug bugs or SUV's? This is a great way to learn classification. |

| Here's an idea: Get a bag of Skittles or M&M's and have your child guess how many different groups of colors there are in the bag...this will teach your child probability and estimation. |

| Here's an idea: Let your child help you cook...there's all sorts of learning opportunities in the kitchen (math-science-reading), they can read the directions, measure, set the timer to learn time. |

| Here's an idea: Count the sugar packets on the table when you go out to eat. Great for building math skills. |

| Here's an idea: Have your child read at least 15 minutes each day. A book, the cereal box, the signs on the road, the newspaper...just as long as they read! |
