August 2008 Dear Parents, Guardians and Students of the Ridgeview Learning Community, Welcome back to a great new school year – “United We Stand!”  We are looking forward to all of the new and exciting changes taking place across the district. I am sure you will join me in welcoming our new Superintendent Karl Springer by showing him what great students, parents and staff members Ridgeview has in our learning community.  Together I envision great things taking place at Ridgeview with student achievement as our focus and great teamwork ensuring success for all.  It is a privilege and a pleasure working with you and our students. Here are some important dates to remember: Enrollment/Address Verification:               August 6-13    8:00 am to 12:00 pm Evening Enrollment:                                    August 7th       from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm Each student must have an updated enrollment form. Even if you pre-enrolled before school was out last school year, we need updated telephone and emergency contact numbers along with a July/August proof of residency (OGE, ONG, Cox, City, House/apartment lease). Meet the teacher/bring supplies:               August 20th     from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL:                            August 21st     8:15 am to 3:30 pm Welcome Back to School Night is Thursday, August 28th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.  Plan to join us for an evening of fun, food and fellowship. School supply lists are on our web site (www.okcps.org/es/ridgeview), at Wal-Mart and available for pick-up at school.  Ridgeview is a uniform school and students are expected to wear the appropriate uniform daily.  The uniform guidelines are also listed on our web site as well as a list available for you to pickup.
