REWARDS AND CONSEQUENCES


Our classroom often includes positive reinforcement as well as consequences. Students are rewarded for showing positive behaviors. When students show negative behaviors or break classroom rules they receive a consequence such as taking away a privilege.

Language Arts Standards:
Fifth graders should be able to write a five paragraph composition including an introduction, three supporting paragraphs, and a summary.


Recognize parts of speech and correct sentence structure.


Use appropriate punctuation including capitalization, quotation marks, semicolons, colons, apostrophes, titles of books, poems, magazine, songs and stories.



Math Standards:
Fifth graders should know addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of whole numbers.


Knows how to solve problems with two operations.


Knows how to solve fractions using addition, subtraction, multiplications.


Know how to change decimals to percents and fractions.
