Maps4Kids Progress

for Mark Twain Elementary

Despite what you have been receiving in the Maps4Kids publications in the mail, Mark Twain is well underway for remodeling.  We have had our first Community Meeting and preliminary plans have been made.  The selection process for the Architect will be occurring soon and once selected, the final planning stages will be completed.

The planning process, estimated to start in May of 2005 will take approximately 9 months with construction to begin in June of 2006.  The estimated time of completion as of this moment is August of 2007.

The early start roofing project is behind schedule and is to be completed by the end of January 2005.  The early start fire alarm project has been completed.  This will bring our fire alarms up to code, ensuring a safer environment for the children of Mark Twain Elementary.  I will periodically update this page as to the progress of the Maps4Kids plan for Mark Twain.
