Linwood A+ Elementary School

Linwood has been an A+ school since 2002. What does an A+ school have that other schools don’t have?  The A+ stands for “arts integrated”.  Being an A+ school makes Linwood part of a network of PK-12 private and public schools that offers collaborative, research-based curriculum to reach all students.  The mission of the A+ schools is to advance a quality, whole school experience to nurture the creative learner through the arts—music, visual art, and movement.

Linwood A+ Elementary School focuses on the 8 multiple intelligences of children.  Students at Linwood are word smart, music smart, math smart, picture smart, body smart, people smart, nature smart, and personal smart.  If you visit Linwood, you can hear and see all the “smarts” being used in the classrooms.  Students not only have music, art and physical education classes weekly, but they also use the skills they learn in these classes in their daily assignments for math, science, social studies, and language arts.  Each grade level performs what they learn using their multiple intelligences at a monthly assembly.  If you walk down the halls of Linwood A+ Elementary School, you can see what makes us different and what makes us an A+ school.
