PARENT OUTREACH RESOURCE ROOM
Don't forget parents ... there's a room
filled with resources for you to check out through Britton's School Media
Center. Please utilize this wonderful space to help your child be their
best academically! There are books, tapes, activity packs, and other
materials that you can do with your child at home. The resource room was
created with you in mind ... so come by and "check" it out!
A little something about us:
We take big pride in our school and
especially in our children. We continue to put our best foot forward to
make Britton Elementary a better place to be, so our children can thrive and
learn in a nurturing and caring environment. We consider all of the
students at Britton our children because they deserve to know that someone else
loves them too.
In the past few years our school has
come along way, with the existing playground equipment being painted, and then
the completion of our new playground equipment on both sides of the building.
These things would not have been possible without our hard work and determination
and a lot of very generous people in and around our community. As the
price tag was not cheap, we raised over $23,000 dollars for those things to
happen.
PTA Sponsored School
Activities
Through the year, our Britton PTA
handles treat sales, carnivals, Catalog fundraisers, Red Ribbon Week (drug
prevention), Santa shop, Santa pictures, Valentine sales, homeroom parents,
Grandparents Day, and Cici's pizza night. I'm sure, I forgot one or two, but
you get the idea of how actively we sponsor activities to maintain student
interest here at Britton Elementary.
Our goal is to give our children a
school that they can be proud of and to encourage all parents to do the same.
We hope we can count on your support this year and encourage you to make a
difference in your children's lives. PTA membership here at Britton is
$6.00 dollars per year, and you have to be a paid member to vote on any issue.
Make your voice heard and share your ideas with our PTA Board members. Our
goal this year is to not only have 100% membership but also 100% participation.
If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions to help make our Britton PTA
better, please do not hesitate to share them with us at our monthly PTA
meetings.
