My personal philosophy and professional commitment is
"All Children Can Learn." The goal here at Britton
Elementary is to maintain a safe and healthy environment where all students are challenged
to achieve their fullest educational potential.
Here at Britton, I always look forward to working with the parents of our students and members of our community. I am committed to sharing new ideas, district policies, directives, goals and objectives for the Britton students and staff. My nine years of experience as a classroom teacher have taught me to value and appreciate the support of all parents. Therefore, as an administrator, I feel that it is imperative to establish and maintain an ongoing relationship with my parents and staff to effectively create a family environment here at Britton Elementary.
As an administrator I am also aware of the importance of having a well qualified staff, which we have here at Britton. I also feel that it is essential for them to be community-based oriented to insure that the lines of communication are always open between teachers and parents. I believe this is one of the most applicable means of developing student excellence here at Britton.
I believe in allowing my teachers the liberty to teach. By allowing this liberty, my teachers have the autonomy needed in their respective classrooms. This concept provides me the opportunity to observe and evaluate their effectiveness as educators. The Britton staff takes pride in developing and creating innovative ways of learning for all students. A good example begins each morning as my Britton staff enters our building enthused to be here and with that same positive energy radiating over to our children creating a positive atmosphere full of high expectations in a peaceful environment for each and every child.
At Britton Elementary, one will find a learning environment that allows creativity and enhances the growth of the entire child. We are not a cookie cutter school. We strive to create a positively unique environment that promotes unity in family, school, and community. We want the best for your child, for indeed, he or she will be a leader of tomorrow. And with your support and encouragement, together we will be able to better develop the enormous qualities that these bright young people have by enabling them to be more excellent, motivated and productive citizens.
