Fish live in H2O.

Most hatch from eggs, you know.

They breathe through gills.

Their blood, it chills!

Their skin has scales –

enough fish tales!

An amphibian’s a cold-blooded beast!

It has two homes, at least.

A home in the water, a home on land.

First they have gills, then lungs-how grand!

They usually have fairly moist skin,

but it’s not skin I’d want to be in!

A reptile is cold-blooded too!

You can visit some at the zoo!

They hatch from eggs, I don’t know why …

Their skin is thick, and scaly, and dry!

But remember if you should meet a ‘gator,

just walk away, say “see you later!”

A bird is a warm-blooded creature,

most can fly, a quite nice feature!

Most have feathers and wings,

and sweet voices that sing.

Their parents don’t rest,

til the chicks leave the nest.

Warm-blooded is the mammal,

they’ve hair on their bod (like a camel).

Babes get milk from their mothers.

Mammals are like none other.

Most live on dry land, you bet,

but some like it where it is wet!
